Injectable dermal fillers offer a non-surgical way to significantly rejuvenate signs of aging as well as add volume to facial features. Our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Venkata Erella, can help you smooth out lines and wrinkles between the nose and mouth, add fullness and new contours to the lips and cheeks, and diminish the appearance of deep wrinkles with long-lasting results.
Each patient’s results will vary, but many of our dermal fillers can be performed individually with successful results, or they can be combined into a comprehensive Liquid Facelift to enhance a number of facial areas. Call Spa Aspira at (512) 686-0012 to arrange a free consultation to discuss your filler options.
Deep wrinkles and other signs of age along the face can be effectively improved with Juvederm®. This injectable dermal filler is composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the human body, and does not require an allergy test.
Juvederm® works to smooth out wrinkles and creases, and can also be used to add volume and contour to the lips and cheeks. The gel is gently injected into the areas targeted for treatment in a procedure that usually only lasts about 30 minutes or less. The areas being treated can be numbed before the procedure to make you as comfortable as possible.
While there may be some mild redness and swelling present around the injection sites after treatment, this should fade quickly. Most patients are able to resume normal daily activities right after Juvederm® treatment.
Juvederm® is known for its long-lasting results – in many cases, results can last up to nine months or more. The effects can be maintained with follow-up treatments. Dr. Erella also offers a new formulation, Juvederm Voluma XC, which can last even longer – up to 2 years!
Lines and creases that form between the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds) can be significantly rejuvenated with Radiesse®. This injectable filler can also be a good option for adding volume to cheeks that have taken on a “sunken” or hollow appearance, as well as reducing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and even mild depressed scars in other areas of the face.
Radiesse® is unique among dermal fillers in that it is designed to help your skin replenish its own collagen, which can ultimately lead to a longer-lasting result. Composed of minerals that are natural to the human body, the Radiesse® is injected with a very fine needle into the areas targeted for treatment. We can apply a numbing agent to these areas to minimize discomfort.
The entire Radiesse® treatment usually takes from 15 to 30 minutes to complete. Some mild bruising and swelling may be present after Radiesse® treatment; however, this should dissipate quickly. Many patients who have this procedure can return to normal daily routines immediately after treatment.
The results of Radiesse® have been known to last up to one year, and even two years in some cases. You can also keep the effects going with occasional “touch-up” treatments.
Restylane® is one of the more popular dermal fillers and can be a very good option for adding volume and contour to the lips and diminishing signs of age along the face. With Restylane®, the lips can appear fuller and more sensual, and wrinkles between the nose and mouth as well as other areas of the face can be effectively smoothed out and rejuvenated.
Restylane® is made of the naturally-occurring substance hyaluronic acid, and therefore does not require an allergy test or a waiting period. Dr. Erella will inject Restylane® into the treatment areas with an ultra-fine needle. He can numb these areas before injection to limit any potential discomfort. The entire Restylane® procedure typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete.
Patients may experience some swelling and redness after treatment with Restylane®, but this is normal and should fade quickly. Most patients go right back to their daily routines immediately after the procedure.
Results from Restylane® often last from six months to a full year, and the effects can be prolonged with follow-up treatment sessions.
Fat injections, also known as fat transfer, literally utilizes your own body’s cells to effectively rejuvenate wrinkles or add volume to facial features. This procedure takes excess fat cells from one area of your body, cleanses and purifies them, and then injects them into the areas targeted for treatment.
Fat injections are essentially two treatments in one: removal of excess fat pockets, followed by injectable facial enhancement.
