Gynecomastia, or enlarged breast tissue, is a common condition among men and can be present in varying degrees. Depending on the severity of your enlarged breast tissue, male breast reduction techniques offered at Aspira Plastic Surgery can be used to help you achieve a flatter, more masculine chest.

Liposuction

One of the most common causes for enlarged breasts is the presence of stubborn fat. Stubborn fat is resistant to diet and exercise, making it difficult to get rid of one your own. If stubborn fat is causing your gynecomastia, liposuction techniques alone can be used during your procedure. Liposuc tion only requires very tiny incisions in the treatment areas. Through these incisions, a cannula can be inserted and used to break up and gently suction out stubborn fat cells, leaving you with improved chest contours.

SmartLipo

SmartLipo is a modified liposuction technique that not only removes stubborn fat cells, but tightens the tissue in the process. If your gynecomastia is caused by stubborn fat and skin laxity, SmartLipo might be an effective solution for you! SmartLipo uses laser energy to break up your fat cells, liquefying them for easy removal and tightening the skin with even less trauma than traditional liposuction.

Surgical Removal

If your gynecomastia is caused by excess breast tissue, surgical excision might be required. During surgical excision, excess breast tissue is removed to help you achieve a flattened chest. Surgical excision is often combined with liposuction techniques to treat more severe degrees of gynecomastia.
